Mmmhm… getting cosy by the fireplace. Having Glühwein and Christmas cookies… what a lovely time this is. But, stop! Now is not the time to cuddle up! Pop the champagne, because we´ve got something to celebrate!

We are enormously proud to announce that our hotel manager and managing director, Jennifer and Philipp Vogel, have been elected COUPLE OF THE YEAR at this year´s Schlemmer-Atlas- and Schlummer-Atlas-Awards. The jury found their work as outstanding as no other couple´s in the industry. So, now it´s official: we have the best bosses in all of the German and Austrian hospitality! We don´t want to brag, but this is pretty cool, actually.

But that is not even it, yet! When you talk about excellence regarding restaurants, the first thing that comes to mind is the Michelin Star. Since this year there is an equivalent for hotels, the Michelin Key. And Orania.Berlin is one of the few German hotels that got one Michelin Key right from the beginning! The key to happiness? Dearest Christmas fans, we didn´t forget you ! Once again Berlin is the place to be for all romantics, Christmas market hoppers and festive food scouts. For those of you who care especially about sustainable Christmas presents, Viktor & Luise is the right shop for women´s fashion. Christine Behr chooses only second hand fashion of the highest quality for her boutique at Viktoria-Luise-Platz in Schöneberg, luxury designer brands and exclusive high street fashion pieces. Going shopping here is a bit like diving into a treasure chest – and not very harmful for the environment (and our wallet).

Let´s keep our focus on the holidays: Christmas decorations can be so much more exciting than just the red, round Christmas balls. Which has successfully been proven by mobilien in Goltzstraße (where we can also find some smaller Christmas presents). This is what we would call real Berlin Christmas decoration!

Speaking of breaking traditions: spending the advent Sundays at home illuminating candles doesn´t suffice for a festive advent weekend? We fully agree. This is why we created “Benedict, Beats & Bubbles”! On every advent Sunday, 11:30 am until 3 pm, there will be a flying buffet with various Egg Benedict dishes accompanied by champagne and champagne cocktails and, of course, finest Orania.Livemusic at our beloved Orania.BreakfastClub. It´s beginning to look a lot like christmas…

The holidays will come quicker than we think – as they always do, don´t they? So here´s our recommendation for long afternoons with potentially bored kids: Deutschland-Museum opens its doors on 365 days a year. The tour is immersive and shows over 2000 years of history in a thrilling and accessible way.

The year is coming to its end. We look at 2025 with this marvellous optimism, which is typical for the German capital, as shown in the picture (Beule means bump – and this car has much more than just a bump).
