Yes, the days are once again getting shorter and darker. But the night has always suited Berlin well – and this Late Night Show will surely not get cancelled. So don´t worry a bit about your monthly programme in Germany´s capital.

Talking about suiting well: here comes the update about our new merch wear that we promised you. The sale has started and the first shirts are already being worn. “What the duck?!” Exactly.

Even more great news from our side: whenever you get bored in Berlin (let´s put it this way: if you ever got bored in Berlin), you don´t need to scroll through your mails for this Orania.Newsletter anymore. You can now find it all on our website. And of course, as always: every morning as the printed version at your breakfast table at Orania.BreakfastClub.

“O´zapft is´!” – and not only in Munich. Spreewiesn, Oktoberfest an der Zitadelle Spandau, Hauptstadtwiesn, and many more bring the Bavarian way of celebrating to Berlin. For those of you who long for the rides of the original Munich Wies´n, Herbstrummel is the place to be – especially when the kids come along.

If they don´t and you want to start the evening in a more quiet atmosphere, bar meisterschueler might be a good choice. We hardly ever recommend any other bar than our own one – and if we do, it feels a little bit strange. But riverfront seats directly at Spree is the one thing we can´t provide you with. You´ll still be back home for dinner, promised?

One of our favourite evening, night and grey day activities will probably always be a visit to the cinema. Have you ever been to the gorgeous, 101 year-old Filmtheater Colosseum in Prenzlauer Berg? It´s also worth checking out the schedule of event location Colosseum (more than 130 years old). The former horse-drawn railway hall nowadays includes ten cinema rooms and regularly hosts exciting events such as readings, stand-up comedy, concerts and more.

It´s never too soon for Christmas! At least not for preparing for the holidays. A good way to start would be visiting Bikini Center and the beautiful stationary shop Maido Okini to get your supply of Japanese stationary and start making advent calendars and Christmas cards for your loved ones. Or you could just use this as an excuse for getting all the nice little things we (as non-fine artists) don´t need but really want. Like washi tape in dozens of variations, sushi stickers and shark-shaped pencils. Who wouldn´t want those?

We´re never getting bored in Bikini. But that doesn't mean we have to freeze in bathing suits in Berlin´s autumn breezes. One of our favourite fashion stores of the city is definitely Studio 183 – not only, as we wrote, fashion store, but also gallery and event location. With its varying assortment of clothing by Berlin based brands and international designers Studio 183 keeps surprising us with exclusive runway-like creations. Another highlight of course is the support we get by the very friendly team. An absolute must for everyone with a fashion taste that moves a little away from the usual.

Bode Museum will help us calm down for the afternoon now. The project “The Healing Museum”, created in collaboration with Charité and others, helps us ground ourselves with various exercises for mindfulness and meditation in a separate museum´s room, being led through them via audio guide or smartphone. The practices have their roots in different religions and philosophical movements. We´re leaving the museum with a mind full of new impressions.
And that´s it again for today! One last tip: it´s also worth wandering our halls with open eyes.
