Welcome to Kreuzberg—the creative heart of Berlin

Orania.Neighbourhood

Directly located at Oranienplatz, Orania.Berlin lies in the centre of Kreuzberg. As anyone from the neighbourhood will tell you, this district is the most exciting in Berlin. Kreuzberg has long been famed for its cultural diversity as well as its experimental & alternative lifestyles attracting especially young people from around the world.

The borough is a stage and home for creativity – not only when it comes to music. Here, artists mend spaces for their work not only in numerous ateliers but also on the streets and in backyards, which you can admire on Street Art Tours. Kreuzberg also has more mainstream offerings.

You can find some of Berlin’s most outstanding museums, including the Berlinische Galerie showing art from 1870 to the present day, the Gropius Bau with it’s temporary exhibitions, the Jewish Museum as well as the German Museum of Technology. Or you can spend an evening surrounded by contemporary dance, theatre and performance at one of the three Houses of the Hebbel am Ufer. The neighbourhood also houses the English Theatre Berlin, the city's only English-language theatre.

Those who prefer things a little bit more casual, especially in the summer season, are invited to a great number of open-air cinemas and events just around the corner. Kreuzberg is also famous for its street fairs like MyFest and Carnival of Cultures.
