Solo Piano

Lionel Haas is a jazz pianist, composer, and bandleader. After early jazz studies in England and formative years in the Washington, D.C. jazz scene—where he performed with the Federal Focus Jazz Band and attended summer programs at Berklee College of Music—he returned to Germany. Since relocating to Berlin in 1999, he has established himself as a prominent figure in the German jazz community, leading projects such as the Lionel Haas Trio, Blowing Front, and Berlin 21, releasing several albums of original music, and touring extensively throughout Europe and Asia. In addition to his work as a bandleader, he is a sought-after pianist for a wide range of jazz, blues, and crossover projects.
