Pat Appleton became internationally known as the voice of the lounge collective De-Phazz with the cult song "The Mambo Craze". She has released three solo albums to date, "What's Next?", "Mittendrin" and "A Higher Desire", as well as many albums with De-Phazz. Further collaborations with other German and international musicians (e.g., Big Band Deutsche Oper Berlin, Württemberger Philharmonie Reutlingen, Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra, Budapest Jazz Orchestra, Nighthawks, Bahama Soul Club, Jazzkantine, Matti Klein Soul Trio, HR Big Band, Wolfgang Haffner German All Star Big Band, and many more) have recognized her as a versatile performer.
Pat Appleton sings and writes songs in German, English, French, and Spanish. She has worked with big bands and orchestras at home and abroad and has completed concert tours worldwide with De-Phazz. The television station 3SAT called Pat Appleton “one of the most important voices in contemporary German jazz”. Pat Appleton lives in Berlin. In her free time, Pat Appleton is involved in copyright law, is a passionate gardener and works voluntarily to preserve Berlin's Tempelhofer Feld.
