Rare Grooves, Jazz-Funk and Soul
Rossano Snel returns to Orania.Berlin with a brand-new program celebrating rare grooves and soulful sounds of the 1970s. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Gil Scott-Heron, Lonnie Liston Smith, Minnie Riperton, and Deodato, the Brazilian composer and artist will explore the fertile ground where funk, jazz and soul meet. For these special performances, he is joined by also Brazilian percussionist José Aurélio playing Timbatera, bringing an extra layer of warmth, groove, and spontaneity to the evening.
