On Saturday, May 10, 2025, the Orania.Salon in Berlin will be the setting for a culinary competition of a special kind: Philipp Vogel and his team will challenge the celebrated trio Caspar Plautz from Munich's Viktualienmarkt in an asparagus battle. Caspar Plautz consists of Kay Hoppe, Theo Lindinger, and Dominik Klier. Since November 2017, the trio has run a small snack bar at Munich's Viktualienmarkt where everything revolves around potatoes. The asparagus battle will bring together the Orania team and Caspar Plautz, two creative kitchen teams who have one thing in common: their passion for the finest products and the topic of asparagus. Guests can therefore look forward to a 5-course menu, with the Berlin host team around Philipp Vogel, head chef Kevin von Werthern, and head pâtissière Denise Szalies, preparing three courses.
